Antonia went out at the weekend leaving me with an Esme. Esme wanted a nap so I found a camera and wrote my first photo story for children.

Magic Bunny Meets A Moonbeast

Magic Bunny and Bear had been out with Esme, who had
become rather sleepy and was having a nap.
Sweet dreams Esme!

Magic Bunny heard a noise.
'Did you hear something, Bear?' asked Magic Bunny.
'Do you mean the sound of an ageless and
unspeakable horror arising from
its slumber?' asked Bear.

Bear and Magic Bunny looked to see
where the noise had come from.

Behold! Cthulhu!
The Thing That Cannot Be Described sat at the end
of the cot, with a MoonBeast, who had come
all the way from the dark side of the
Dreamlands moon. He looked a little hungry.

'Gosh!' said Bear.
'Yes,' said Magic Bunny.
'You don't see one of those very often.'

With a beat of his ancient leathery wings, the green,
sticky spawn of the stars ascended.

Cthulhu is arisen!

'What do you think he wants?' asked Magic Bunny.
'I don't know...' replied Bear,
'Do you think they might want to pl...'

But before he could go on, Cthulhu twizzled his
magic tentacles and there was an enormous
flash and bang and a KER-FLANGE!

Oh dear!
Look out Magic Bunny!
Look out Bear!
Look out sleepy Esme!

Too late!

'Mmmm... Bunny Brains!' said Cthulhu.
Poor Magic Bunny!

'Mmmmm, Bear brains!' said the Moonbeast.
Poor Bear!

'Mmmmmm! Baby Brains!' said Cthulhu.
Oh no! Poor Esme!

'Mmmmmmm,' they both said together.
'Brains!'

'Burp!' said Cthulhu, licking his tentacles.
'Burp!' said Moonbeast, licking his testintacles.
He didn't look hungry any more!

Thanks to Antonia for the Ker-Flange and for helping Cthulhu to fly.

With your imagination, I can see that Esme has a long and embarrassing future in front of her.

My favourite part in this story was Esme's stoic and unmoving strength.

and where in hell did you get that scary thing with the things on its heads. lordy!

The thing grew in Antonia's belly. Really freaked me out, it did, but the doctors say it's perfectly normal and happens all the time.

Oh... you meant this

I might get her one of these for christmas.

Totally awesome. I think there's a career in warped and twisted juvenile literature in here somewhere...

Can't wait for the sequel.

It's a good thing that JK Rowling is hanging up the HP franchise; you could have given her a run for her money.
